PUBLIC SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: WCRA club members, I have been informed of a new opportunity for the club to help support the PANDAS Dash. It is a 5K held at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park on Sunday, September 25th. Tentative call time is 5:30-1300. This is only the second year for the run, so they are still going through growing pains, but have realized the need for communications. Let’s grow with this event!! I’m looking for 8 or more to help with the water station, start/finish area, race organizers and a bicycle mobile to follow the race marshal. Please email me at hamradion0mo@gmail.com if you are interested.The next membership meeting will be Friday, SEPTEMBER 2, 2016, 7:30 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton. A video of the International Space Station’s amateur radio station will be featured. Popcorn and Junior Mints will be furnished! All amateurs, whether a club member or not, are invited to attend.
