July Letter from WCRA Board to Members.
Dear WCRA Members,
We are pleased to announce we will have an In Person meeting this Friday, July 10th, beginning at 7:30 PM.
June’s meeting minutes and July’s agenda are available online.
Current Meeting Plan
The meeting will occur in the backyard of Carol Schroeder’s home located at 0N490 Evans Ave in Wheaton.
The meeting will take place outdoor in the yard to allow proper social distancing. As such, there are a few changes the members should be aware of.
Each member will be responsible for providing their own lawn chair and it is suggested that proper protective measures be taken. This should include not only face coverings for Covid, but also standard outdoor measures such as hats, sun screen and insect repellant.
We will have cold beverages available but snacks will not be provided, please bring your own if you would like something to munch on.
Program
Mike Wilson will give a presentation on the use of Raspberry Pi technology within our hobby.
Backup plan
Since the meeting will be held outdoors and we all know how reliable weather forecasts are, we will have a Zoom Meeting scheduled in the event weather affects our primary plan. We will continue to monitor the weather forecast and make a final decision between 3 and 4 PM on Friday based on actual observations.
If we need to cancel the In Person meeting, we will attempt to notify everyone via email, announcements on the repeaters, Facebook and the website.

Club Elections
According to the Club ByLaws, the elections were to be held in April at the annual meeting. There are several law articles which address how Illinois Corporations can handle the annual meeting requirement. The first option would for the Board to notify the shareholders. in our case the membership, the postponement of the meeting and announcing the new date if one has been established. We have previously announced that the election was postponed until the next in person meeting. We will continue to follow this decision.
