PROGRAM TOPIC: The State of the Club
It will be a state of the club round table hosted by Tim Wheeler. We will be having a discussion about the future of the club. The currently faces a major probably of 10% of the club doing 90% of the work and activities. And that 10% is burning out or moving on. Please bring your ideas, comments and concerns:
Some things to think about:
- Where you would like to see the club head in the future.
- How you plan on supporting the club grow
- How we can gain and keep members
- Should the 2024 Hamfest happen, if so how to you plan on helping with it.
- What program topics or speaker would you like to hear from or about
- Anything else you can think of.

Ham Radio Ops sought for Chicago Marathon
We collected your name from a list of people associated with radio clubs in the Chicago area. We are hoping you can forward the enclosed information about the Marathon to your members and or let us know who the right person might be to contact within your organization..
This is the start of our 15th year serving the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. We are seeking 140 volunteers and currently we have 90 signed up! If you have an interest in using your radio skills to help with a big community service project, please sign up to the link below or send a note to Rob@roborrproductions.com for more information. This event has really demonstrated to many agencies that ham radio can be effectively used to support large community events.

It is with great sadness that we must inform you of the passing of club member Mark Decker, KD9DJX. He passed at home on Sunday, Aug 9th. Mark was always willing to lend a hand when he could and will be missed by many. Scot Witt, N9AZI, passed away on May 13th. It was very sudden and unexpected. Sorry for not passing this on sooner.
Scot found great joy in ham radio. We had just finished putting up antennas and he had his new radio set up. All ready for retirement but he just barely got to use it.
