DUPAGE COUNTY ARES – DARIEN DASH PUBLIC SERVICE EVENT – Sunday, May 22nd, 2022
WHAT: 2022 Darien Dash
WHEN: Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 6:30 AM – 12:00 PM NOON
WHERE: Darien Swim and Recreation Club
This public service event is an annual opportunity for our team to assist the Darien Chamber of Commerce and Police Department in providing auxiliary communications for the Darien Dash.
Our primary role will be to provide safety surveillance on the 5K/10K race course for participants and to report any health and safety related issues.
The race will take place on the streets of Darien’s Hinsbrook sub-division just like previous years. However, the Start/Finish line has been moved from Darien Community Park to the Darien Swim and Recreation Club.
I will be the Incident Commander. Amateur radio operators who can participate are asked to e-mail me at ddamon@sojourntechnology.com indicating your willingness to participate.
