Activities
There will be a variety of activities available. While socializing
among the membership and their families will be the primary focus,
activities are scheduled to include:
>Fox Hunting
>Badminton
>Tether Ball
>HF/VHF/UHF Radio and antenna experimentation
As an added incentive to attendance, each member attending (based upon
pre-registration) will be entered for a door prize of a Peppercorn
Restaurant Gift Certificate or one of three other prizes which I will
allow the words of Jim, W9DHX describe since he coordinated the prizes.
"...the three second prizes are in the
original cartons and have never been used--the Malibu Lights are by the
famous "Intermatic" electric company; the fog lights are by Sylvania and are
"Halogen"; the "Bucketeer" is bright red canvass that has never seen a
greasy tool. I would like to win any one of them..."
It seems that there is considerable interest in plans for rain on the
picnic. The official plans are as follows: A determination regarding
weather will be made the morning of the picnic with a personal call made
by me to all those who RSVP'd. If we need to re-schedule or re-locate
the announcement will be made via the same call. Light rain will be
little trouble since we have ordered a 20x30 tent. Unfortunately, there
is little that can be said at this time other than any deviation to the
plan will be made by phone.
